A dog on a flat back seat is standing on a surface that tilts on every corner and drops away under braking. They can't brace. So they stand up, they pace, they pant, and by the time you arrive they've been working for two hours straight.

The Roam changes the shape of the space. The hammock panel spans the footwell so there's nothing to slide into, the raised side flaps close off the gaps, and what's left is a flat, enclosed, walled-in area — much closer to a den than a bench seat.

For a lot of dogs, that's the whole problem solved. Not because they've been made to feel calm, but because there's finally somewhere stable to lie down.

What changes on the drive

No footwell to fall into. The most common reason dogs stay standing is that lying down means risking the drop. Close the gap and many of them lie down within minutes.

Sides to lean against. The raised flaps give a dog something to brace on through corners instead of bracing on their legs.

Waterproof where it matters

Quilted 600D oxford with a waterproof backing. Mud, wet fur, drool, sick, accidents — it stays on top of the fabric rather than reaching your upholstery. Wipe clean, or machine wash cold and hang dry.

Safety — read this properly

The Roam is a seat cover, not a restraint. It stops your dog sliding around in normal driving. It will not hold them in a crash, and no seat cover will.

If your dog travels regularly, use a crash-tested harness attached to the seat belt, or a secured travel crate. The Roam works alongside either — thread the belt through the zippered openings and use both together.

First few trips

If your dog already dreads the car, don't introduce this on a long drive. Fit it, let them get in with the engine off, feed them on it, drive to the end of the road and come back. The Roam removes a physical problem; it can't undo a learned association on its own. That takes a few boring, uneventful trips.
