Why it's Different

Most cooling mats are gel-filled pads you refrigerate or freeze before use. They work for a few minutes, then warm up again, and they're always one puncture away from a mess on the floor.

How to Use

No setup required. Nothing to activate, freeze, or plug in. Just place it where your dog needs it.

Their usual spot, in summer. Put it beside the Den bed rather than instead of it, so your dog can choose which one they want.
In the car. Lay it over the Roam hammock cover before a trip. This is where it earns its keep most.
In the crate. If you're using the Den Cover in warm weather, place the Chill underneath it.
Year-round for thick-coated dogs. Huskies, Shepherds, Bernese, and Newfoundlands often run warm indoors even outside of summer.
On the go. It folds flat and packs light for hotels, agility trials, and camping trips.

Does it actually get cold, like it's been in the fridge?

No. There's no refrigeration, gel, or power involved. It stays cool to the touch because the fabric and mesh backing stop heat from building up underneath your dog, not because it's been chilled.

Will it warm up after my dog lies on it a while?

It will warm gradually under a settled dog, the same as any surface. But it cools again quickly once they move, faster than a bed or blanket would.

Is it safe if my dog chews or paws at it?

There's nothing to puncture or leak, unlike gel-filled mats. As with any bedding, we'd still recommend supervising a dog who tends to chew fabric.

What if my dog seems seriously overheated, will this help?

The Chill is for everyday comfort, not for treating heat distress. If your dog shows heavy relentless panting, bright red gums, drooling, wobbling, or collapse, that's an emergency. Move them to shade, offer water, and contact your vet immediately.

What size should I get?

Regular fits dogs up to 33 lb (Beagle, Cocker, Border Collie sized). Large fits up to 88 lb (Lab, German Shepherd, Doodle, Pitbull mix sized, most back seats). If your dog is between sizes, size up. A mat they overhang only cools part of them.
